The plain-language rules for using Mimmo. Please read them; they are short.
1. The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Mimmo ("we"), for your use of the Mimmo app and website. By using Mimmo you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use Mimmo.
2. Who can use Mimmo
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf.
3. Your account
Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app or by emailing help@mimmolearn.com.
4. Subscriptions and free trials
Some of Mimmo is free. Full access needs a subscription, bought through the Apple App Store. Prices, the length of any free trial and what's included are shown before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel in your iPhone's Settings, under your name, Subscriptions. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription.
- If you cancel during a free trial, you won't be charged. Any unused part of a trial ends when you subscribe.
Refunds are handled by Apple. See our refund policy.
5. Lessons and content
The lessons, videos, illustrations, the Mimmo character and the app itself belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them in the app for your own learning. Please don't copy, resell or redistribute them.
6. What you post
If you post on the in-app feedback board or send us ideas, you keep ownership, and you let us use, show and act on them to run and improve Mimmo. Please be kind: we may remove posts that are abusive, unlawful or off topic. Videos you film of yourself stay on your device and are not shared with us.
7. Acceptable use
Don't misuse Mimmo: no attempts to break, overload or reverse engineer the app or our servers, no automated access, and no use that breaks the law or harms others.
8. About learning ASL with an app
Mimmo is a learning aid. It can't make you fluent on its own, and it is not a substitute for a qualified interpreter where accurate communication matters, such as medical, legal or emergency situations.
9. Changes and availability
We keep improving Mimmo and may change, add or remove features and lessons. We try to keep it running smoothly but can't promise it will always be available or free of errors.
10. Liability
Mimmo is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by law.
11. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Mimmo and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
12. Your rights as a consumer
Nothing in these terms takes away the protection you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, including your right to bring a claim in your local courts.
13. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Mimmo or its content, has no obligation to provide support for it, and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms with the right to enforce them. Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app.
14. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we'll tell you in the app before it applies. Questions: help@mimmolearn.com.
